Steven Labkoff Earns a Perfect Score for “Peregrine Traveller” in our November Photo Competition

Congratulations to Steven Labkoff for achieving a perfect score of 27 from our three judges at our November’s competition. Steven’s image was submitted into the Color Print Class Salon Open Subject category:

Here is Steven’s remarks about the image:

“When I joined SPC, I really never knew the first thing about photographing birds.  Over the years, thanks to the tutelage from David Henkel and Chris Wisker, I’ve been afforded the opportunity not just to learn how to shoot birds, but to go out with them to their favorite haunts to find raptors (I’m not a fan of songbird photography).  One Sunday morning in September, Chris said, “Want to go out to shoot falcons?” – David was not around that particular day… We went to the Palisades and found a few peregrines that were on the hunt and soaring.  Armed with my OM1 Mark II and a 150-400mm super-zoom, I got to photograph these majestic raptors… this is just one of the images from that day… Thanks to David and Chris for helping me to learn how to photograph these majestic birds.” ~Steven
