2019-2020 Photograph of the Year Competition to be Held Wednesday, August 26

Well it has been a long strange 2020 up to this point and the pandemic has caused some interruptions to the Club events that the Board has been working through.

Finally we are at a position to continue moving forward and we will complete the 2019-2020 season by holding our annual Photograph of the Year competition on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 7:30 pm. Due to the ongoing restrictions from the Coronavirus pandemic, this competition will be held online through Zoom.

This competition is going to introduce the Club members to our new image submission process and competition software called The Judge, which will be the method we will be using going forward in the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

For the Color Print and Black and White Print categories we will be running these as digital submissions for the foreseeable future, as we are unable to meet in person.

No new images may be entered into the Photo of the Year competition that have not been judged previously in the 2019-2020 season.

Members may enter a total of three photographs into the competition that were submitted during the 2019-2020 competition season across the 3 categories: Black & White Print, Color Print, and Digital Projected Image. You cannot submit more than 2 images in any single category. Digital photos may be either from the open or assigned subjects.

To help you recall what images you submitted throughout the season, all of the season’s competition results are on the Club’s website under the 2019-2020 menu.  Also, you can see the scores for all of your images submitted on the Club’s website in the Cumulative Scores page.

Image submissions into the Photo of the Year Competition closes at 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Stamford Photography Club will send out a Zoom invitation for this competition as we near the meeting date.
