The opening reception for the Stamford Photography Club Member’s Show, the grand finale to the SPC’s 2021-22 season, will take place from 7-9 p.m. May 19 at the Palace Theater, 61 Atlantic St., in the heart of downtown Stamford. The show runs through June 24.
The theme of the Member’s show, the first since the pandemic started in spring of 2020, is the “The Power of the Picture.”
“One of things the Covid lockdown taught us was that art is essential. Art touches us emotionally and heals us, entertains and provides meaning and joy. Seeing it online is not the same as seeing it in person, so we are thrilled to be back at the Palace,” said David Kaplan, president of the Stamford Photography Club and a Rowayton resident.
